About
A little bit about myself.
Over the last 12+ years I've designed new apps and improved existing products as a Product and UX/UI Designer — and, on older projects, worked in animation and graphic design. Currently Senior Product & UX/UI Designer at Onstruc UG in Berlin.

Background
My background runs through product, brand and marketing, and across in-house, agency and consultancy settings. Owning a product for years and living with every decision is a different job from designing inside someone else's brand and constraints, and moving between the two is where most of my pragmatism comes from.
I've worked across SaaS, e-commerce, B2B and B2C, leading teams as well as working alone. At Social Skills Animation I led the design and animation team, hiring and mentoring the people who drew alongside me. On Second Opinion I was the only designer but led delivery with frontend, backend and product. Either way the job is the same: designing interfaces that survive every device and operating system, backed by enough HTML and CSS to know what I'm asking a developer for.
Increasingly, my work is about the foundations rather than the screens: building design systems that developers ship from, and keeping a product coherent as it grows across web, iOS and Android.
Most recently that's meant leading product, UX and UI for Sparkify at Onstruc — a field-documentation platform for German electricians — across iOS, Android and web. I owned the whole arc: product discovery and research, the workflows for documentation, inspection, testing and project management, a token-based multi-brand design system, and features like offline capture and AI-assisted documentation built to hold up on the job site.
How I Work
I start with the business's objective and the person who has to use the thing, and treat those as one problem rather than two. The research I find worth doing is the kind that changes what gets built, not just how it looks.
In practice that means the research happens before the wireframes and the testing before the handoff — not as a process to be seen following, but because being wrong is cheap early and expensive late.
I work best close to engineering and product, and I keep the design coherent through every iteration rather than only at handoff.
What I Do
Product Design — product discovery, strategy and feature prioritisation; turning complex, real-world workflows into flows people can follow, and translating business goals into solutions that are user-centred and realistic to build.
UX Design — user research and interviews, surveys, focus groups, card sorting, user flows and information architecture — validated with usability and A/B testing.
UI Design — wireframing and low-, mid- and high-fidelity prototyping, built on graphic-design fundamentals.
Design Systems — component libraries, design tokens and multi-brand theming, handed over so developers can build from them on web, iOS and Android.
AI-Assisted Design — Claude, Claude Design and ChatGPT used daily for research, documentation and design exploration.
Graphic & Brand Design — visual language, layout and composition, typography, colour and building brands that work in print and on screen. Plus hands-on WordPress.
